But everyone's favorite sandwich is a little different. Only two non-broadcast outlets covered UW women's hockey today, and Badger Brekaway was one of them. Only two non-broadcast outlets covered UW men's hockey today, and Badger Breakaway was one of them.
When one of the state newspapers of record can't regularly cover either hockey program (because of the somewhat understandable economic realities of football - which, if we're talking about resentful feelings regarding attention and resources...), I will continue to cover both hockey teams because the greater public deserves a media that shows up, asks questions, and tells stories otherwise left untold.

Oh no, your not my problem. I have focused on AD McIntosh and the choices his staff makes to allocate resources. For example, how many micd up or say in the life have been done about men’s hockey. Compare to women’s hockey. Then, for years the Badger hockey digest, hosted by Maddie Posicks dad, zero mention of women’s hockey. These are choices the staff makes. And I oppose these choices. And sometimes it bleeds out in resentment all over the place. I can make a list of things worth celebrating….Abby Roque on sports illustrated, Daryl Watts chasing all time points lead, just Hilary Knight in general. Things like this do not get mentioned. Yet, they spend money weekly in the off season to interview position coaches in football ball. I want these story of Jesse Comphers amazing transfer told. Every game is sold out. simms and Laila were swarmed like they were Justin Bieber. It’s the best arena experience ever. The game is played with such joy. Never going to hear a disagreement from me that the women's hockey program is not propped up enough.
