Welcome to the Sunday Bulletin. A new Badger Breakaway paid subscriber exclusive. Consider this a no-holds-barred version of whatever it is exactly happens on this darn website, giving you everything that got left on the cutting room floor for time, space, or general absurdity.
This is a lighter read than the typical post. Maybe you'll read this with your morning coffee. Maybe it's the perfect fit for that window between the NFL late afternoon kick and when Carrie Underwood does her thing on NBC. Maybe you won't read it at all, what do I care?
If you're the type of person who wants just a little bit more analysis, musings, and takes on the Wisconsin Badgers, you should care. If you're the type of person who thinks variety is the spice of life, yeah, this weekly addition to your reading is for you.
Time to let it rip.
Wisconsin women's hockey: What are we doing here?
The Badgers were shorthanded this weekend due, in large part, to a questionable decision by Hockey Canada to host its pre-World Championship training camp this weekend. Add in Kelly Gorbatenko injury to boot, and things got messy.
Admittedly, I expected Wisconsin to get boat-raced this weekend against the only other program in the sport that can consider itself UW’s peer. That decidedly didn't happen!
At least, on the scoreboard.
