Postgame Pulse: Wisconsin basketball beats Campbell by 32
Hear from the head coaches of Campbell and Wisconsin basketball, along with Nolan Winter, Nick Boyd, and John Blackwell after the blowout Wisconsin Badgers victory
Madison, WI - The three-headed monster of John Blackwell, Nick Boyd, and Nolan Winter got off on the right foot on Monday night. Inside the Kohl Center, the Wisconsin basketball standouts combined to score 69 of UW’s 96 points in an eventual runaway victory over the Campbell Fighting Camels, making quite the impression on the opposing head coach in the process.
“They’re very good. Wisconsin is a very good basketball team,” Camels head coach John Andrzejek said in a post-game press conference. “I know. I was at Florida last year. They [Wisconsin]—they are a team that can advance far in the NCAA Tournament. I firmly believe that. I knew that going into today, and today showed that even more.”
Badgers head coach Greg Gard recognized that Andrzejek “understands and knows what, you know, championship level teams look like,” from his time with the reigning national champion Gators.
Still, Gard admitted, “we got a long ways to go. We have so many things we got to get better at.”
Listen to what Andrzejek, Winter, Boyd, Blackwell, and Rapp had to say, in full, after Monday night’s college basketball season opener.
