Is beating the San Francisco 49ers actually easy?
Many people are asking.
I have spent a lot of time this week trying to talk myself into a Green Bay Packers victory today. I didn’t quite get there, but I do have some ideas on how it can happen (graph is related).
I broke down those ideas on yesterday’s ‘Sconnie Six Pack podcast. You can listen to that right here on Substack. If you’d like to see my face and hear those words, you can watch that same scheme breakdown on YouTube.
Is Max Klesmit literally playing out of his mind?
The Wisconsin Badgers defeated Indiana 91-79 last night. It is Wisconsin basketball’s 20th consecutive win at home over what I was told is supposed to be a blue-blood program.
Aside from the win itself, Max Klesmit is playing absurdly good basketball. He recorded 26 points last night (his career-high as a Badger), which he said “is kinda cool, I guess.”
To get there, the Neenah native scored 20 points in a span of less than five minutes. Something he said he did not even realize he did. This begs the question: if everyone else in the sold-out Kohl Center knew he did it, was Klesmit literally having an out-of-body basketball experience during those five minutes?
If that wasn’t absurd enough, there was an ejection in that span.
Read my story from the game I had the fortune of covering on assignment for Badger Notes.
Is this Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect on a meteoric rise?
Yes. Also, this “is question” bit may be dead after three uses.
The Milwaukee Brewers announced the names of several prospects who have been invited to spring training. Despite not being on the Brewers roster, these minor-leaguers are getting a shot at impressing the staff of the big league club.
Who am I most excited to see getting a chance? I’m glad I asked! Jacob Misiorowski. He is yet another high-level pitching talent developed in Milwaukee’s system. Last year, he shot up prospect rankings faster than basically anyone in baseball.
This time last year, Misorowski had not even made his debut with the Timber Rattlers. Now, he heads to MLB Spring Training. Awesome.
